The Story Behind The Light

Luminaries began with two childhood lessons.

The first came from my mother.

Whenever fear, imagination, or the expectations of the world felt overwhelming,
she taught me to imagine a sphere of light surrounding me.

A Bubble of Light.

A sanctuary that belonged entirely to me.

Inside it, I remained myself.

The second came from the cocuyo, a small beetle I discovered through a childhood story.

What fascinated me was not the story itself, but the creature’s existence.

A tiny living being capable of producing its own light.

The cocuyo did not shine because it was told to.

It shone because that was its nature.

As a child, I connected these two ideas.

The Bubble of Light taught me that I could protect myself.

The cocuyo taught me that I was never meant to hide who I was.

Together, they became the foundation of Luminaries.

A philosophy rooted in the belief that every person carries something authentic,
valuable, and uniquely their own.

The world may shape our circumstances, but it does not define our essence.

We have the power to protect our light.

We have the courage to express it.

And we have the freedom to create from it.

Because light was never meant to be hidden.

Only carried.

Only allowed to shine.
